It indeed is a “New Era” for WWE.
Announced via WWE.com, SmackDown will officially broadcast live on Tuesdays on the USA Network beginning July 19.
If you haven’t been to a SmackDown taping, the tapings take place on Tuesday and its aired 2 days later on Thursday.
If you quickly read through the press release, you may have glanced over the other big news.
“This bold move will have major ramifications for all of WWE and exemplify the New Era, as both Raw and SmackDown will each feature their own unique rosters and rivalries following an imminent Superstar draft.”
That’s right folks, it is now confirmed that there will indeed be a brand split between RAW and SmackDown with a Superstar Draft happening very soon.
In the video announcing the groundbreaking news, both Stephanie and Shane McMahon argue over who should be the General Manager of SmackDown.
