News | WWE set to make Grand Return to Chicago’s United Center this March
It’s always great news for Chicagoans when WWE comes to town. This time around, the stars of Monday Night Raw, along with Free Agent, John Cena will invade Chicago’s United Center on the road to WrestleMania.
After a stellar showing with back to back shows of Raw and SmackDown Live at the Allstate Arena this past Christmas, the United Center’s social media channels announced today that after 20 years, WWE will return to home of The Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks with a special live event titled WWE Live: Road to WrestleMania on March 3rd.
The last colossal WWE event the United Center hosted was SummerSlam in 1994, which saw an appearance from the late great Walter Payton and the main event of The Undertaker going up against an impostor Undertaker.
This is a huge deal as for the last 20 Years, fans of the sports entertainment company would have to travel outside of city limits to the Allstate Arena located in Rosemont, Illinois. From experience, the drive is not a bad one, but having the chance to see WWE action smack-dab in the middle of the city is great thing.
Tickets for WWE’s return to the United Center go on-sale this Friday, January 12th – with Presale tickets going on-sale Tuesday, January 9th at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $20. Customers can purchase here, once tickets are made available.
The United Center is having a contest to win tickets, you can enter here.
