Recap & Photos | Day 2 of Freaky Deaky

Deep bass, original costumes, and people climbing tent poles – can only mean you’re at Freaky Deaky.

Day 2 of Freaky Deaky was as intense as the previous day. Fans of all kinds packed into Toyota Park to see their favorite artists and DJs rip it up. Some of the best DJs in world took the stage on Saturday – Metro Boomin’, DJ Snake, Snails, Hippie Sabotage, Dubfire Live and more.

On the hip-hop sides of things, TJ Mizell from the hit WE TV reality television show Growing Up Hip Hop rocked the stage before introducing the Trap Lord – A$AP Ferg. Making his way onto the Shrine stage dressed as Godfather of Soul, James Brown – Ferg quickly got the party started. The Trap Lord killed his set with hits such as Strive, Work, and the crowd favorite Dump Dump.

Over at the Big Top stage was where DJ Khaled’s set took place. For those who haven’t seen a DJ Khaled performance live – he doesn’t DJ. No, he has 2 other DJs spin records for him while he acts as his own hypeman. Throughout the set, Khaled would shout his usual catchphrases and having the crowd chant “Chi-Town”. At one point, in a rare sight to see, Khaled actually stepped behind the DJ booth and proceeded to “spin” for a quick second. A lot of fans who attended Khaled’s set were upset that he would continue to talk over songs and skips certain songs when the chorus would come in.
