An Inside Look at Kanye West’s YEEZY Season 2

Today, September 4, 2015, I had the pleasure of covering the unveiling of Kanye West’s YEEZY Season 2 Collection. Only a selected few were allowed to attend the screening. For those who are unaware, Kanye West and Adidas formed a partnership back in 2013 – and debuted Season 1 earlier this year.

Kanye die-hard Chicago fans were out bright and early in anticipation of the new clothing line and possibly a new track. It should be noted that the Chicago showing did not receive the long-sleeve camo shirt rumored to be given to those attending the screening. There were many disappointed faces when that news came in.

As it goes with fashion shows, you can expect delays. The show was scheduled to begin to at 11am but did not begin until 11:38am.

YEEZY Season 2 was very similar to Season 1. New to the collection were hats.   Season 2 also included new colorways of the popular YEEZY Boost 350s, 750s, and 950s. In my opinion, the collection has a futuristic-grudge look.

At the moment, it’s too soon to know if the YEEZY Season 2 collection will have similar prices as YEEZY Season 1.

What could be the showstopper of the screening – a new untitled track (possibly from Kanye West’s 7^th album, ‘SWISH’) was heard during the end of the show. The track had a great upbeat tempo and sampled the song “I Know I’m Losing You” by Rare Earth.  The track featured Ty Dolla $ign. Shockingly, no Kanye vocals were heard throughout the track as there was no indication if the track was complete.
