News | AJ Styles announced as WWE 2K19 Cover Superstar

Today, 2K Games held a live press conference to unveil which WWE Superstar would grace this year’s coveted WWE 2K cover, this time around the superstar chosen was nothing short of phenomenal.

That’s right, the WWE 2K19 cover will feature the Phenomenal One and current WWE Champion AJ Styles. As an avid video game player, Styles expressed his gratitude and excitement throughout the press conference. He even stated that being on the cover of a WWE video game was a goal of his he thought was a long shot.

“As a hardcore gamer and ambassador of everything it means to ‘Never Say Never’ in both my professional and personal life, it is a dream come true to be selected as the WWE 2K19 cover Superstar,” said Styles.

The press conference not only included the cover superstar announcement, but the self-proclaimed “face that runs the place” put down a challenge to the WWE Universe – who ever can defeat him in WWE 2K19 will be rewarded with one million dollars, dubbing it the WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge.

The official rules to the WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge are as follows

• Players must beat a to-be-announced new mode in the game.

• Then, players can submit a promotional video proving they can beat AJ Styles in WWE 2K19.

• From there, four semifinalists will be selected for a semifinal round of competition.

• One player will then earn the chance to compete against AJ Styles one-on-one in WWE 2K19. The prize? One million dollars.

All editions of WWE 2K19 are now available for pre-order. The pre-order bonus, Season Pass content, and the exclusive physical collectible for the Collectors Edition will be announced at a later date.

The standard edition will be available on October 9th, but fans can play 4 days early on October 5th when purchasing either the Deluxe or Collectors editions of WWE 2K19.
