Exclusive | Inside The Weeknd’s Chicago “Starboy” Pop-Up Shop

Here’s an exclusive look for any Party Monster(s) that are planning on hitting up The Weeknd’s Starboy Pop-Up Shop this weekend.

This past Wednesday, fans of the The Weeknd were treated to the news that 8 cities (both in the United States and Canada) would be apart of select Starboy Pop-Up Shops. The shops would feature all new exclusive Starboy merchandise – opening on Friday, May 5th and running through Sunday, May 7th. Being a supporter of The Weeknd since the beginning, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check out the new 2017 merch.

I arrived to RSVP Gallery around 2:00pm as the pop-up shop opened at 12pm. Upon arriving, I noticed a small line formed along the wall of the store, maybe 10-15 people deep, not too bad. The line moved rather quickly as I made it inside the store at 2:30pm. It should be noted, only 6 or so customers at a time were allowed inside the store.

Once inside, immediately you were met with the sounds of Skepta’s 2016 debut album, Konnichiwa. Toward the back of the store was a huge lit neon cross (as seen in The Weeknd’s Starboy music video) that hung above the red display that showcased most of the new Starboy Clothing Collection.

For the Chicago location, there were 17 items of clothing in total – ranging from T-shirts, Long-Sleeves, Dad Caps, Jean Vest, Hoodies, Coach Jackets, Denim Jackets, and Slim Fit Bombers. No items featured any “Chicago” lettering.

The prices of each item were very reasonable – $28 – $295. (See the photos below for prices for each item). Chicago Tax will also be added to your total. The staff at RSVP Gallery were very helpful and quick to answer any questions about the collection. If you’re heading to the pop-up this weekend, don’t worry about being rushed, you will be able to take your time to decide on what you want.

I walked out with both the Party Monster and XO Only Tees. If you need a Reminder, RSVP Gallery (along with the other 7 locations) will be open through Sunday, May 7th from 12pm-7pm as part of the Starboy Pop-Up Shop.  Check here for a complete list of cities and store times.
