4 Tracks by Future You May Have Missed in 2016

What a 2016 Future has had, dropping 2 full length projects in Purple Reign and EVOL, sold out shows on the Summer Sixteen Tour, and dominating airwaves with hits like Wicked and Low Life.

With so much Hip-Hop music releasing in 2016, it can be hard to keep up with the latest and hottest singles. Journalist Without A Beat has you covered with 4 impressive tracks by Future Hendrix you may have missed or glanced over in 2016.

  1. Program

One of the most overlooked tracks on EVOL, Program is your typical “brag about your wealth” banger. Future raps about being married to the trap and asks about a lot of specific things and if they’re on the “program”.

3. Perkys Calling

A song dedicated to Future’s love/hate relationship with drugs and lean. Going through the motions, on this deep track he describes how the drugs have consumed his well-being and thoughts. DJ Esco distorts and samples Keith Kenniff‘s Threnody for the main melody of Perkys Calling.

  1. Who feat. Young Thug

It’s one of the first songs that both Future and Young Thug appear on together, and its good one. The DJ Esco and Metro Boomin’ produced track makes this a must listen with both Atlanta rappers trading solid verses back and forth.

Honorable Mention: Paparazzi (Dab)

This song can be defined as a “What If” scenario. Though Paparazzi (Dab) is a reference/unreleased track, there’s no doubt the finished product would have been a smash. I mean listen to the catchy chorus – it’s perfect as the world is still dabbing to this day.

  1. Salute

One of his most creative (and bass heavy) tracks on Purple Reign, Future raps in third person, going over what brought him to the game and congratulating himself for beating the odds. Both DJ Spinz and K-Major handle the awesome production.

If you’re die-hard member of the Future Hive or an average listener, these 4 tracks will make great additions to your rotation.
