News | Everything You Need to Know About AAHH! Fest
This upcoming weekend, September 24-25, Chicago’s Union Park will play host to the 2nd annual AAHH! Fest.
Created by rapper, activist, and actor – Common, the festival brings together the city, culture, and music all in one place. The first AAHH! Fest took in place in 2014. Not only did it include performances from some of Chicago’s hottest artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Hudson, Common, Twista, and Kanye West, but it was also platform to announce and introduce new education programs and jobs to Chicago.
This year will be no different, AAHH! Fest 2016 will once again be raising funds for Chicago organizations – Common Ground Foundation and Donda’s House.
If you thought the lineup from the 2014 edition of AAHH! Fest was stacked; Common is once again bringing the heat to Chicago. On Saturday, September 24th, the day will be hosted by Malik Yusef, scheduled to perform on the Community Stage are Tink, Taylor Bennett, and Chicago’s top talent.
Sunday, September 25th will see the festivities hosted by Chicago’s own Deon Cole. The Main Stage will showcase performances from J. Cole, The Roots, Common feat Bilal, Ice Cube, Vic Mensa, Jeremih, The Internet, Sir The Baptist and live DJ Battle celebrating the late DJ Timbuck2.
By purchasing select tickets to AAHH! Fest, you can help sponsor a youth. This option includes a $10 donation that will be used to help a local youth attend either the Community Stage or Main stage festivities depending on the day you choose to attend.
Tickets are still available for both days – You can view all ticket options HERE
Stay tuned to Journalist Without A Beat, as I will have the set times for each day once there’re made available.
