Meet Elijah – the Journalist Without A Beat #WINSAMFTIX winner.

As part of Journalist Without A Beat turning 1 year old this year, I teamed up with React Presents to reward one reader/supporter with a pair of Spring Awakening Music Festival tickets.

The exclusive Twitter contest was quite simple; contestants would use the hashtag #WINSAMFTIX and answer the question “why do you want to experience the 5th anniversary of Spring Awakening?” Everyone who participated had some great replies and it was very difficult to choose, but there was one tweet that stuck out from the rest. Instead of a traditional response, Elijah created a math equation for his entry.

On Day 1 of Spring Awakening, I caught up with Elijah (who was attending his 3rd Spring Awakening) to learn how he came up with the creative math equation.

“Honestly, I was with my buddy (who gets half the credit). We were just chilling and he asked what I liked about raves?, he explained.

His answer to his friend’s question was quite simple, “Girls, music, and vibes”.

The rest is history.
