Photos | Spring Awakening Day 1
Friday, June 10th saw the gates of Spring Awakening open for Day 1. The new location of Addams/Medill Park saw thousands turn out for the 5th anniversary of the festival.
All the DJ’s and performers came prepared to bring the noise to Chicago. Both Steve Aoki and Borgore both respectively debuted new tracks, Jamie XX had the crowd grooving and Alison Wonderland’s set had the Bass Kitchen tent thumping with classic hits from Missy Elliot, Baby Bash, and the Spice Girls.
The song of the day had to be Panda by Desiigner. Almost every DJ who performed put their own twist on the song. Who knows, this might be the song of the entire weekend.
