News | Iggy Azalea Drops New Single, “TEAM”

After dropping AZILLION in January, Iggy Azalea returns with the first official single off Digital Distortion – TEAM.

Answering a fan’s question on Twitter, Iggy revealed that a music video for TEAM is set to be released next week.

On the new single, Iggy takes a bit of a different approach to the hook, she sings/yells shouting “Baby I got me, Only friend I see, Playing on my team, Is someone like…”. Also the second verse samples Juvenile‘s 1999 hit Back That Thang Up. She evens references Hanz Zimmer, the man behind many awesome scores for classic films, such as Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight Trilogy.

TEAM is now available on iTunes. Digital Distortion arrives in June.
