Video | Chi-Raq Trailer

Today, Spike Lee’s production company, 40 Acres and a Mule revealed the trailer for the upcoming controversial titled New Spike Lee Joint, Chi-Raq.

In light of what Chicagoans or non-Chicagoans thought, it’s not a film that totally puts the city of Chicago in negative spotlight.

Instead, the film will bring in a new modern adaption of the ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata. In said comedy, the women of Greece would withhold sex from soldiers in order to end the Peloponnesian War. Lee’s adaptation will focus on the women of Chicago doing the same to end all gun violence in the Windy City.

The film opens in December.
